DIET is organizing two year teacher programmes for around 40 students. The minimum academic qualification for is higher secondary certificate. The curriculum approved by NCET is followed to give training.
Functions of PSTE
-
Organization of pre-service teacher education for qualified applicants.

Promotion of child centered education, preparation of learning aids and conducting action research.

Conduct tryout in areas like multi grade/ peer group teaching etc. for schools.

Providing guiding service in schools/NFE/AE centers.

Provide academic support for other teacher training institute in the district.
